Re: Hair Loss
I feel like I'm wasting my good hair genes! At 44, I show no signs of having any hair loss issues any time soon - my hair is crazy thick, and my hairline hasn't budged since I was a baby. Even so, I keep an almost bald look anyway. When I say crazy thick, I mean it's annoyingly so and it's a constan...

I don't think there was actually any more dialog after that. There was a repackaged x264 (audio corrected) posted within an hour of the one with bad audio. It's probably been DMCAed by now, but it might still be out there. There wasn't really anything more to it the episode though. They just got all...

A newer mini series to watch is The Elegant Universe. It's based on Brian Greene's book. It's 3-1 hour episodes, and is about string theory, which I am very interested in. It's just a real surface level intro to it, but its a good series. His books ho into way more detail, and I'd definitely recomm...

This is without question my favorite documentary series ever made (James Burke's original "Connections" runs a close second, though). I remember watching them with my dad as they aired in 1980, and still watch them today from time to time. Did you know that Sagan's widow Ann Druyan and Ste...

Ah, sounds like maybe a little off decision on the producers part then. Perhaps there wasn't enough to make the Governor's camp seem interesting without throwing Andrea in for dialog parts with the Governor. From someone that hasn't read the books, the whole governor thing seems like it could have ...

I agree Andrea is annoying. She's been annoying almost from the start. Michonne should have killed her. Unless they had some sort of lesbian thing going on in the comics that I don't know about, I don't know why she would have kept her around. In the comics, Andrea isn't separated from the group, s...

Yeah, I don't care about how much she wants to get laid, besides she's pretty sexual in the comics, too. I just can't stand her utter lack of judgement, and her apparent lack of loyalty. I'm sure the lure of some semblance of normalcy is a powerful draw in that scenario, but she just turns her back ...

I thought it was a really good Bond film, and I'd also give it an 8, maybe even 9 out of 10. I'll be the contrarian and say that I liked the lack of gadgets. Comic comparison spoiler: I'm just waiting for the "real" Governor to show up. I know they've got to tone some of his comic book craziness down since this show is on AMC and not HBO, but this guy just isn't enough of a truly twisted, evil, demented son of a bitch (yet?). It's relatively ea...

Not sure why people think Disney is going to 'Disney-fy' Star Wars. You don't pay $4b for something only to fuck with it. Disney didn't fuck with Pixar or Marvel. I bet most people didn't even notice that Avengers was a Disney movie. I don't think they'll mess with the formula much as, like you say...

A big part of the problem last year was apparently related to the last minute departure of Frank Darabont. The new show runner, Glen Mazzara, was left to pick up a bit of a mess - scenes that were shot were scrapped entirely, sets that had been built were not used, several story lines were abandoned...

It's a character from the comics named Michonne. The current issue of Playboy (April 2012) has a mini-comic (6 or 8 pages, I forget) that has the comic book version of her back story in it. I agree with the sentiment. I don't think that it's possible to repair our government - it's too far gone. The best I think that we can hope for is that whatever emerges from the post-collapse chaos won't suck more than what we already have.
