I haven't jumped to the Nvidia 1XXX family but I'm still getting performance I'm more than happy with on my 900 series card. The motherboard is probably nearing 7-8 years old now so the next upgrade will be a full system lift, more than likely based on the Threadripper CPU family.

Some of the experiences are cool to be sure. I've had a chance to see try HoloLens last year and that was truly impressive. As far as the Gear VR go, I'm trying experiences here and there and want to try some of the non-gaming experiences on it. I'll let you know what it ends up bring.

Hollow Knight - This is one of the better games I've played so far this week. Indy Metroidvania game that is extremely challenging and doesn't hold your hand on anything. I've clocked over 40 hours with it so far. Highly Recommended

Watched both and really liked em. As usual, Microsoft focused on holiday 2017 and Sony focused on 2018 and beyond mostly.

Sony spent a lot of money for an auditorium for something that could've essentially been a YouTube Playlist though. A solid hour of trailers and then end?

I just finished the only Halo campaign I had never played before last night, Halo 2. It was pretty good at parts and really frustrating at others. Played it though on Heroic.

Couple of non flame-bait comments:

PS4 Remote play on PC works REALLY well. As well as the Xbox One Streaming.

Also, I love Uncharted so much. Can't really put a finger on what puts it over the top for me vs Tomb Raider but damn I love this series.

You have to wonder if that's going to be the play here. There's already great hardware between the Occulus and the Vive, why not make both of those able to connect to Scorpio and leverage the already existing VR work being done on Windows.

Default was excellent until you got to the last few chapters and then it got really lazy and repetitive. I see what they were trying to do storywise but it didn't translate well in gameplay.

The ending does pay off nicely I thought though.

Frankly I was never a fan of what they were trying to do with Fable Legends myself. It was pretty much downhill after Fable 2 anyways. Without the "superstar" Molyneux there anymore, I guess this was just a matter of time.
