Congratulations Adex, other than living in LA it sounds great.
The one skill that I took from EQ that benefited me the most in school was the ability to endure mind numbing boredom.

The author of this book was on the Daily Show last night, and had a rather interesting take on the use of abortion. According to a study he conducted, he determined that states that had high rates of abortion tended to have lower crime rates, while states with low rates of abortion tended to have hi...

So let's use some fairy tale logic and eradicate the 2nd amendment tomorrow. With roughly 1/3 of all firearms on the planet in the U.S., how exactly do you propose to collect them all? I am not going to say something like the solution is more guns, but the problem is that the bad guys tend to not be...

Just a .45 handgun for self defense and range shooting. I usually go about three times a month with friends or family to the range. I have no plans on getting anything other than a rifle for hunting purposes. I personally do not see the need for assault rifles, plus they are expensive as hell to feed.

Actually, Vermont has no real gun laws what so ever. When I lived there in the early 90's, it was completely legal for any American citizen to openly carry a firearm, so long as they did not come near a school or public building. There are also several counties in California where CA residents with ...

I figure since there are still quite a few people around here who I remember, that I may as well bring this up. I am sure that those who thought I lived in a trailer surviving on my meager income from eBay, this may come as a shock, but life can be a bitch. Anyways, after two years at school, with g...

I finally got my CCW today and after learning about this on the news, I was thrilled. I glossed over the replies so maybe someone mentioned this, but prior to this change, you were required to attempt to flee a situation before resorting to force. If you are unable to flee, then you are allowed to s...

Something to keep in mind before doing something really stupid. I only know the gun laws for Florida, but even with our liberal gun laws, it is illegal to carry in a bar. Plus, assuming you don't have a permit, if you draw, you're screwed. And personally, I prefer the stopping power of a .45. Statis...

Also your numbers are not a great comparison. I worked in a store that did 2.5 million in business last year (while others in the area did upwards of 5 million) and we had 4-6 employees over the course of a year. A store doing 10 mil a year with a staff of 185 people is horribly inefficient. That br...

I'm going to make a couple of guesses #1) Those polls take several days to conduct, so they likely do not take the RNC into consideration (since it is still in progress) #2) As a follow-up to #1, Bush has not yet addressed the convention. Acutally it could be pretty easy for the United States to whomp the Israelis. Just ask Egypt and Turkey for support. Considering we subsidize both of their militaries, it should be easy to get them to lend troops to go beat up on some Israelis. If you look back at the previous wars in the regions, I...
