Salt is an electrolyte. You piss a lot, sweat, etc when you drink (presumably) so you lose electrolytes as well. It's the same principle as an athlete drinking gatorade.

I don't actually go to OSU and even though I'm a rabid fan I still like to stir shit up from time to time. Unfortunatly, yelling GO BLUE didn't work so well while wearing my OSU jersey. It actually resulted in me meeting girls instead of getting my ass kicked /boggle.

Actually, Philosophy is being taught at highschools that offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. I'm not sure exactly what it covers because my school put in after I left. Still, it is a start. Unfortunatly, all of about 1000 schools have the IB program in the US I believe.
