Re: Nvidia RTX 50xx
I haven't opened it yet. Still debating if I want to at least get the 2 year ($200) protection plan. Normally it's not something I'd do but the melting connectors have me a bity wary especially on an item that costs so much. The MSI warranty is 3 years but I don't know if they cover that sort of dam...

I ended up getting the MSI GAMING TRIO OC GeForce RTX 5090. What's up with all the caps in product names. Anyway... It has decent reviews, at least the ones I've seen, and seems about in the middle of the pack. I wish it had more RGB though as it looks a bit plain. That makes me sad that EVGA is no ...

Well actually... Vince Gilligan (not Vince Gillian) didn't 'make' X-Files. That was Chris Carter. VG was an executive producer.
However, that reminds me, I never did finish the last 2-3 seasons of Better Call Saul. I'll get around to it someday.

Yet another Republican learned that Trump only cares about Trump. Funny how they are all "That will never be me". Until it is.
But Trump got that looney MTG to resign so that's a plus. Hopefully it will be a Democrat that replaces her.

It turns out the RAM that Mirocenter had wasn't the same speed (6400) as what I currently have (6800) and I didn't feel like mixing speeds especially with one being slower. I am seriously considering getting a 5090 as Microcenter seems to have 3 different cards for $2400-$2500. Still $400 more than I want to pay but with the memory prices I imagine the 'standard' 5090s will be going back up. And the Supers, if they even come out now, are 9 months away. And no telling h...

Just when GPUs were getting back to MSRP they will now be going the other way due to the memory prices. Also rumor is the upcoming 50xx 'Super' cards will either be delayed to Q3 2026 or cancelled altogether for the same reason. So that's cool.
