So basically Sony is all "You're going to LOVE all of these PS4 games! in, like, two or three years"
While Microsoft is like "Hey guys, remember A Kingdom for Keflings? You held onto your copy, right? Now we can pretend it's 2008 forever! ...Please?"

Re: FFX/FFX-2 HD
Is the Vita version no good? I was going to buy it a little later on, but I figured portable was the way to go, since it would still look pretty good, and I'd be more likely to play it that way.

Re: AC4: Black Flag
Almost finished the main story, having long exhausted the side missions, and bled them for all they're worth. This game is so amazing when it's not being Assassin's Creed, and so middling when it is. I will say that this game goes a long way towards making me feel like a graceful traversal master, t...

Re: What Systems/Launch Games Are You Getting?
Watching the launches carefully to see how some of the functionality goes. In particular, I'd like to see how well remote play works on PS4, and what kind of media streaming options will be available outside of the US on both systems. Honestly speaking, I'm pretty much a lock for PS4 in the long ter...

Re: Tales of Xillia (PS3) JPRG
Finished up Jude's side, and liked it a lot. I'll probably revisit this and try out the alternate perspective during a gaming lull some time in 2014. Vesperia remains my gold standard, but Xillia was really good, and I'm glad to hear we'll be getting the sequel next year. For those who were interest...
Re: PSVita
Unexpectedly, PS+ and all of the backwards compatible stuff on the PSN has turned this thing from a nice-looking dud into the most played device in my household. If anyone's interested, just hold off a little and see how much they drop the price of those memory sticks. Physical media games on this t...

EQNext Landmark looks awesome.
EQNext proper looks far away.
Georgeson looks like the unholy spawn of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gilbert Gottfried.

Re: Tales of Xillia (PS3) JPRG
I'll get it eventually. I really likes Tales of Vesparia, which was my first Tales game. I dabbled with Symphonia years ago, and never liked it. I didn't give Tales much thought until I rented Vesperia a few years back, and rushed out to buy my own copy a few days later. Loved the shit out of that ...

I've certainly had versions of the Catalyst driver destabilize my system, and cause blue screens, but probably not with the frequency you're getting. It may actually just be that whatever version you're running isn't playing nice. Uninstalling it and trying an older driver (go two steps back, say) w...

Re: The Official PS4 thread!
Looking really good, but I just can't imagine anything will convince me to buy any next gen console at release. Still, no doubt I'll pick it up eventually. The first price drop will probably be enough to convince me, and by then there should be a respectable collection of software out.
Re: PSVita
65 hours into P4G. It's a sickness. I love my Vita, but ONLY because I've been using it mostly to digitally purchase old PSP games I missed, and older cheap stuff I want to play on the go. I've spent a ton of time with the device itself, but in truth, P4G is only the third Vita-native game I own on ...

Re: The Official PS3 thread!
I packed up my 360 already, probably for good. The PS3 is still hooked up, though it's pretty much just a Netflix box with occasional blu-ray uses, and even more rarely, weird esoteric and/or Japanese crap on the PSN store that I can't find anywhere else.
Re: PSVita
Futureshop's website seems to be selling the $250 wifi version with a free 4gb memory card. Not bad since that was one of the main draws of the Canadian first edition bundle that sells for $300.
Re: PSVita
Smart move. I totally skipped the PSP, and I'm certainly not the only one. Might have to grab one after all, since Canada has some decent launch deals.
Re: PSVita
Stupid question, but can I purchase PSP games that I missed on PSN and run them on Vita? That's the only reason I might be willing to pick one up any time soon, since there's not much in the launch lineup I care about. The hardware's sexy and all, but I need to be able to do something with it.

Re: P3P
This game was phenomenal on PS2, even if the Tartarus grind was a bit of a snore. It sounds like the portable version's new playable MC, frequent save points and interface changes more than make up for the graphical limitations, and removal of cutscenes. Most of the anime cutscenes looked like ass a...

After dicking around the station forever, then reluctantly playing the content up to level 5, I've got to say I'm impressed with some of it.
