Unless you've got a hard-on to fly Interdictors, you can skip Destroyers completely. Once you can operate a cruiser/BC, there is no reason at all to fly a Dest.

Heavy missiles took it in the ass last patch. All the stubborn Tenguboys in the swarm have moved to Heavy Assault Missiles, but honestly, there are so many better ships for ratting now, unless you simply MUST have the ability to pick and choose your damage type on the fly.
