KotOR Redux - Now in PC flavors!

LucasArts is pleased to announced that Star Wars®: Knights of the Old Republic™ for the PC has gone gold and will be in-store on November 18, 2003.

I seriously think this is the best game of the year. For those without an Xbox, or those with an Xbox and a shitty TV, I highly recommend picking it up.

I played through this as a dark side jedi on Xbox I look forward to trying light side on PC. I heard it has a bunch of crap that wasn't in the Xbox version.

They added an entire planet that is not on the Xbox version. Sources inside LucasArts (I'm serious) tell me that the new planet has some of the best weapons available in the game, but that they come with a hefty price tag. Save your credits, and go prepared.

I played through the Xbox version twice, and after like the first planet or two, never even used any credits. I seriously ended the game with tens of thousands of credits, perhaps that additional planet is where I would have needed to spend them.

I'm playing the PC version right now. I like the new interface except that it defaults you to your special attacks which kind of sucks. Also, its sorta hard to get used to moving around.

You also can't minimize the fucking thing. I wish that game companies would get some decent windows programmers.

Just finished it, doing pretty much all the sidequests I could do as a Jedi Guardian of The Light. Easily one of the best games, if not thee best game I've ever played. There were some glitches, like getting stuck in a cage in the Unknown World(Elder outpost) and having it crash at a couple points, primarily on loading games. But the story is so awesome and the combat is amazing, so the glitches didnt stop me from enjoying the game a ton!!

Gonna play it again as a female dark jedi and be as evil as i possibly can =).

P.S. Is the PC extra "planet" just Yavin Spacestation, or is there more to it than that. I got the force and guardian crystals from it and some other stuff, but is there anything to explore there?

Before replaying as a female dark Jedi, you might want to consider the possibilities as a male dark Jedi and the relationship with Bastilla...

Yeah. I'm tempted to start a guy to go with Bastila as an evil Jedi. My evil female is getting hit on by Carth, and Carth is an annoying bastard so I dunno If I want him to be around me much.

I'm late on this topic. I only got this game because of you guys praising it so much, and I was not disapointed. One of the best games I have ever played. Call of Duty is next on my list I guess.

Echo Krim. I just finished the game for the first time (PC version) and it lived up to every bit of the hype. May be the best game of its type I've ever played. Thanks everyone for the recommendations!
