Haha Kyoukan you sound like the same certs as me. Check this out when you feel like f'n around. Get the Melee Boost implant and go jackin people with a knife. I got more kills with the knife then I did with a gun, and you dont have to keep swaping out the hacking tool/gun.

The best part is it was killing people in reinforced in 1 hit o.O

That only works if the people you're killing are already fucked up.

I dunno man. I knifed a ton of people to death and they all died in 1-2 hits tops. You did note that I have melee boster right? Do more dmg with the knife while active. Wish I could see the other persons health/armor to accuretly tell how much its doing =/.

Seems worth it to me though. I can kill people faster with the knife then I can with the gun, and as soon as I get engineering I can carry mines instead of ammo/gun as backup.

Even with the melee booster and the knife in 'alt fire' mode, it still takes a minimum of two hits to kill someone IF they are at full health. The knife is definitely a good way to go for an infiltrator, though I'm partial to the AMP while playing an infi.

If you get the 'Advanced Targetting' implant, you can see the health of enemy players, and pick and choose who you want to kill.

Still trying to decide. Got the AI MAX cert atm, have 3 or 4 points saved right now, trying to decide. I may get hacking just because it seems to be such a universally useful skill to have some knowledge in. Also considering Reaver or something since travel seems to be the biggest downside of this game. Then theres the part of me that wants to snipe

Well if you get a MAX cert you have a pretty decent way of traveling right there (hit Q for speed if you didnt know, disables weapons but lets you travel pretty dang fast). AMS, Medic's, Engineers will probably always be in high demand, same with the Galaxy cert.

The Mosquito owns all else for getting somewhere fast.

The big breakdown of the Mosquito vs Reaver :

Mosquito:
Marginally faster
More agility
Does not show on radar
Picks up enemies on radar that would not normally show up (huge advantage when you are hovering over a tower and you see a cloaker start moving on your hacker)
Available at more bases (even when Tech plant is not owned by our Empire)

Reaver:
More armor
Firepower of rockets is good vs ground vehicles and MAX units
Requires another 4 cert points

With the only advantage being the 48 rockets that you can carry, you give up too much to cert in the Reaver. I can assure you that the Mosquito owns the sky if there is any dogfighting going on. You can outmaneuver a Reaver with ease and they will never land a rocket on you. Conversely, I can sneak up on a Reaver and have it half dead before they realize that trouble has arrived.

I don't mind the melee booster and the knife but it takes up an implant slot that I could use just for something more important. The three best implants for an infiltrator imo is regen, surge and darklight (in that order). I just don't have any room for melee booster when I could just as easily use my pistol. Plus, the TR pistol has a really nice accuracy at range which helps for backstabbing people because even if they turn around and start firing wildly looking for you, you are far enough away where you probably won't get hit.

open your inventory and right click on the pistol or hack tool to swap them automatically.

right clicking on anything in your inventory equips/exchanges it into the most logical spot.

I'd add that I think Darklight, Regen and Surge are the most useful implants there are as well.

For infantry/MAX characters, I think Darklight is a better first choice, and for Infiltrators I think regen is a better first choice.
