Say we were in a Logan's Run type scenario. Everyone 35+ dies for population stability. (it was 30 in the movie). Would you want to have your mom put to sleep peacefully with a lethal injection while watching her favorite movie or would you want to watch your mom's head squashed in a vice by some teens for kicks? Does it matter since she's going to die anyway?

If there was a vice involved, my mom would at least put up a much more memorable fight than if she was injected with some lame ass death liquid. The whole "humane death" rhetoric is so.. untouchable, unrealistic, idealistic... Frankly, it's a waste of time to think about the path to inevitability.
