Anyone who signs an internet petition should be required to either obligate funds with a credit card to pay for whatever they're trying to convince someone to do, or agree to actually work in some fashion to make the desired outcome happen.
All clicking "Me too!" and posting it to your facebook page does is reinforce the illusion that your opinion matters in an area you likely aren't willing to or cannot have an impact or on.
