Clash of the Titans Remake

Post by Xatrei »

I haven't seen this discussed yet (excuse me if I missed it somehow). The movie is set for release in March of 2010. When I first heard about it, I wasn't sure that I'd want to see a remake of the 1981 version, which I loved in spite of its laughably bad - even for then - special effects. This looks promising, though. The official trailer for the remake was released this week, and can be seen at the official website below.

Release the Kraken!

Looks like it will be entertaining along the same lines as eh original. Same actor play the main character as in Avatar? He's been busy!

I really liked the original and wasnt sure how I felt about hearing of a remake. After seeing the trailer I am kind of excited to watch it.

He was also the main character in Terminator Salvation.

How do you think Perseus gemmed his Gear?

I think he probably gemmed for Armor Penetration then Crit once he capped out. Probably didn't need to stack much Resilience since he was doing all PVE. Pretty sure he was Arms spec after that Bladestorm to kill Medusa.

I'd like to know how he managed to get free epic flying. I'm also interested in how he has Heroic Leap pre-Cataclysm. Must have been invited to the beta test.
-
I'm assuming he had the + xx% to do damage to monsters enchant of his weapons and deffo some high attack power in there somewhere, and yes hes clearly a beta player, was a little op for my liking, killing kraken on his own as appose to in a raid??? he needs a nerf.
-
Yeah 1 man killing the Kraken = private server. Enough said.
-

or possible the items he used needs nerfing

[head of medusa]
turns any enemy into stone
0 second cooldown

i think this shouldnt be a 100% drop chance from medusa and needs a cooldown, also shouldnt work on bosses
-
Funny thing is, Perseus had the least DKP.

Funny how everyone suddenly died right before the head drops.
-
Doesn't matter what he equipped, those n00bs were toast because they didn't bring a healer, tank, or DPS!
-
thats just it

no healer during fight (the djinn could heal before the fight so must have respecced for medusa)

(his mentor friend) the tank was useless (altho he did get aggro at the end finally!)

and the AOE of the Djinn DPS was a helping hand (proof of his respec)

just seems our main guy is a little op, when is a dps ever the last survivor of a raid?? and then to go on and 1 man kraken?? who is a higher raid boss than medusa!!! maybe its the items or maybe hes been to GM Island.
Thanks to Thess

It's way overpowered. Some sort of cool down along a new stone resist stat to combat it needs to be implemented. That head is instant freeze AOE unless someone happened to be blinded at the time...although it's a unique drop unless Medusa repops after a server reset.

This movie was pretty meh. I really liked the original better, even with all its cheesy effects.
