FANTASY FOOTBALL

Post by Bubba Grizz »

Yeah I know it is early but I was able to create the league. Here is the info for signing up. Same settings as last year.
This is to confirm that you've created the Custom League named Veeshan Vault NFC and the team called Sleazy Cheese in that league.

To allow other managers to join your league, send them the League ID# and Password. In your case, the ID# is 53863 and the Password is veeshan.

You have chosen for your league to take part in a live online draft on Sat Aug 29 2:00pm PDT. Until that time, you (and only you) can change the type of draft by using the Change Draft Type option found among your Commissioner Tools, which can be reached from your League Overview page.

If you choose to remain in a live draft, please arrive at the draft 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. The draft will start promptly and may conclude rapidly if only a few managers are logged in.

We also suggest that all league members custom rank their players in case a manager can't make it to the draft. Managers can do this at any time by simply going to the Fantasy Football home page and clicking on their team name.

Thanks for joining. Good luck.

any room for me this year? I do a cash league every year, so it wouldn't hurt to have another league on the side.

The league is pretty much first come first served. So if you sign up before the limit is reached you are in. Someone normally starts up the AFC version as well so if you don't get into the NFC there is that option.

Luckily I am On Call that day and I can use that as an excuse not to go to our company picnic. Not going due to a fantasy football draft as an excuse would fly with some but not most.

There's a very good chance I'm going to miss this draft as well. Unforeseen stuff is going to keep me out of town until later than the draft time on Saturday most likely. I'll have to rank players and hope for the best.

considering my 5 receivers combined for 8 catches, and one of them fumbled that catch, I am willing to concede it is going to be a long season. I knew my receivers were poor, but this is sad. If I had 1 receiver I would have won last week. I actually had one this week that had negative points...sigh.

Bah, you had a fluke game where 2 players scored a combined 108 of your 173 points. :D

Your previous game was only 98 points.

Both of my games I scored 150+. Also, keep in mind my #1 pick was injured and sitting out this week.

It's all in good fun though...I pretty much did the same thing last season, rolled along scoring huge points then the first playoff game I go down like a chump.

I dropped most of my receivers and picked up Marshall off of waivers. The pick ups, Knox and Sims-Walker are not household names, but Sims has 12 catches the last 2 weeks which was more then my original core group had combined. Knox had one catch, but it was a touchdown. I may dump Evans next. Apparently the Bills do not believe in downfield passes, but I wonder with TO there how long before he demands downfield passes.

I had to drop most of my recieving core as well, Roy Williams didnt do anything and Mason had 7rec for 76y and 0 td in 2 games. Of course he would finally do something when I drop him, im sure Williams will have a career night tommorrow as well. This year pretty much every choice I have made is horrid, I will play opposite week next week.

I'm not in your league, and I need a Defense for this week, as the Bears are on a bye. Someone help me out, please!

My available choices are:
Texans @ Cardinals
Bengals @ Ravens
Colts @ Titans
Bills vs. Browns
Dolphins vs. Jets
Seahawks vs. Jacksonville
Raiders @ Giants
Lions vs. Steelers
Chiefs vs. Cowboys
Patriots @ Broncos
Jags @ Seahawks
Falcons @ 49ers
Browns @ Bills
Rams vs. Vikings
Bucs @ Eagles
Panthers vs. Redskins

They all look lame enough to me that i just can't decide. Buffalo maybe, since they're playing Cleveland? The Colts?

Why do I bother? Only I can find a way to score one of the highest totals all week. Take an almost 70 point lead into the Monday game. Still have 1 player even playing while Taison had 2 and still look like I will lose.

I now hate Drew Brees and the New England Patriots defense.

Heh....I felt bad for you in that game too...to lose by such a small number in a league with such inflated/high totals each week sucks. The ridiculous QB point totals each week make this weighted so heavily in favor of QBs...though I lose a little sympathy for you since you have Peyton Manning, so you aren't hurting at that position. :)

What sucks about the game against you Taison, is if my kicker made the field goal just before half I still would have won! Or if they had kicked the field goal in the 3rd. I win. Stupid Coach.

A Pie or Dorf loss and I am in regardless thanks to point totals. Which means I will lose and they both will win.

Last week was the week that killed me in all of my leagues (4). I have much the same line-up in all my leagues or at least pretty close. Needless to say, having Deangelo Williams and Steve Slaton both go inactive just before the game, John Carney not kicking for some reason, and then McNabb being replaced at the half by Michael Vick, totally fucked me over. It was bad enough that I was kicked out of the playoffs in at least 2 leagues.

It was a very frustrating week if not entire season for me. But I'll always come back for more.
