Blender Recommendations

Post by Aslanna »

Looking to purchase a blender in the near future. I don't know if I have a need to blend a rake so not sure I need something like the $400 BlendTec. But I'm not adverse to spending a couple hundred on a quality product if anyone has any ideas!

I have a Kitchen Aide blender and I haven't been too happy with it. We've used it probably less than 30 times and the motor is starting to burn out, also after like 5 uses it did a total crap job.
As far as I know it's never been used for anything other than smoothies/milkshakes.

I know the blend tec blenders seem like a bit much but for home use, that would be the last blender you'd ever buy. Otherwise go for something in the realm of $100 with a decent size motor, anything under that and you run the risk of a total piece of crap.
