You don't really need to be warned first unless the exploit is ambiguous in nature. I don't see where a warning is called for if they are actually changing their client to bypass content.

MMORPG developers love their timesinks and woe to those who try to shortcut them.

i just feel bad for the people who were just too spineless to say anything about it and just clicked "Accept" when they got their summon box. Its still exploiting whether its passive or not, yeah.. but some were more guilty than others and everyone got the death penalty.
