Not so confused anymore... just ticked off

So, I quit playing EQ maybe ~6 months ago. The day I quit I canceled the acct. I decided the other day that I wanted to play again. I reinstalled EQ etc. Went to eqlive to reactivate my account... no go. P/W didn't work. So I talk to a CS Rep. Sorry, we can't help you unless you have the original cc #.

Fast Forward to today. Wasting some time before work, I go to mysupersales to check some stuff out and find my acct up for grabs.

In a nutshell, I quit, someone reactivated my account, which is now for sale for the low, low price of 329.99!!

What are my options? Besides figuring out the original CC# and getting the acct back? Bending over and taking a dry one? ><

Your probably going to have to call the bank and get your orginal CC card info if you want your druid back.

I knew someone who had to do that before.

In 10 months they lost a level and gained only 2 AAs? Whoever supposedly 'stole' your account is teh suck.

Meh... CS said they only paid for one month. The lost level and AA's was probably me not updating myjello. I was ~2 pct into 66.

Still working on the original CC #... I guess we'll see how it goes.

Think I'm advertising? Last thing I would want to happen to my account is for it to get sold... guess it's too late for that.

I work dans le bank and if you go in to them, or ring their phoneline and pass security you can get your CC number back.

I am of course assuming American banks work in vaguely the same way as British ones.

Oh, I'm quite sure you'd like to reclaim the account, but linking to Yantis' auctions isn't really regarded as a smart action. =)

Not sure why it really needed to be included, considering you already linked your Magelo, but to each his own.

The account isn't worth even a third of the asking price compared to what you can buy these days for that price. $50 maybe.

I agree... It's my account and all but I wouldn't pay that much for it.

My grandmother (was her credit card) just left for Thailand yesterday. She's going to call the bank when she gets settled over there. If she gets it great... if not, oh well.
