Za'atar recipes

Post by Aabidano »

Anyone have a good one they've tried? I found a couple on the web, getting one known to be good for starters would be nice though.

Za'atar
1/4 cup ground sumac
2 tsp thyme leaves, dry
1 tsp cumin seed
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp salt

Hmm, seems like it might work well as an app topping. I'm thinking you put yogurt in a bowl, sprin*kle the top liberally with the Za'atar in the center of a platter with toasted pita chips around the bowl. I just don't know if it would stand out if you put it in cous cous or basmati rice let alone a lamb/chicken/eggplant dish. Good luck regardless
