if you were walking around and you came upon a tulip with tits, would you let it be for the rest of the world to enjoy.. or would you pick it and carry it off to a secluded area to motorboat them?

Date: Sunday, February 19, 2006
Violation: Disturbing the Peace: Abuse of Sandbox Resources
Region: Los Altos
Description: 14 Day suspension issued.
Action taken: Suspended 14 days.
Last time I take my cat Mr. Scruffy into Second Life! One episode of "poopsies" and WHAM! Suspended for a fortnight.

With all the suspensions for assasult and use of weapons, I don't think Second Life is the place for my laser-chainsaw-wielding, goth-slaying were-lemur.

What! Did they treat your were-lemur like that? :D

Well Ash, it depends where you wield the chainsaw eh?

Tell me more about the story, how did ya get temp-banned from a sandbox???

Use the Find function, you can search for people there like, Zed, Ryu, Spaghetti, Cid etc... and them add them on your f list even if they are offline! :)

Yeah, ATM my coworkers shout at me a few times a day when i start to fall asleep. Actually managed to nod away in the middle of a conversation a few times when i was really tired.
But hopefully ill know more next week, my throath doc said i should have my tonsils removed, they were too big and might be the main cause of my problems, but need that stupid Xray first, been waiting almost 2 months to get that now.

Patch Day. Nothing too exciting but anything that improves performance is good.
In our continuing effort to improve the Second Life experience, version 1.8.4 will be released on Wednesday, March 1, 2006. The grid will be down from 7am to 12pm PT/SLT. During this time we will also be doing maintenance on our database machines. Therefore, the website will be inoperable for some period of time during the outage. A new viewer will be required to use this new version.

Release Notes for Second Life 1.8.4(6) Mar 01, 2006
===========================================
* Improved rendering of HUD objects
* Maximum nighttime brightness level can now be raised
** Default value of 1.5 is unchanged
* llSetText alpha parameter is no longer ignored
* Connect to Second Life before opening application in full screen mode so that firewall alert can be seen by user
* Streaming music no longer restarts when walking from one parcel to another
* Nametag will change when editing appearance to let other residents know you are doing so
* Additional fix for issue with water level not being correct upon entering a region
* Resolved an issue where randomly the Events tab would not show all of the events for a given day
* Find > All now has a "Mature" checkbox
* Resolved an issue with "Position" button being selected and color change being undone
* Several minor UI issues were resolved

That video is interesting from an economic and technical aspect but unfortunately, the main grid wasn't up during it so you don't see anything at all resembling the actual SL world full of detailed avatars, buildings, etc.

You can look at the pictures in this thread for that though!

How'd your land purchase go Lali?

I got sidetracked right after you started asking about it in the group channel. Crazy night! (and that's saying something considering the past few weeks)

Did you grab a new land owner $512 plot?

None Available atm, so still checking it out.

Looked at a few places to buy within my means. But (as Py noticed) lots over 512 could be charged at least an additional $5 RL to the premium account a month! WTF???

Considering renting for now while I try to find more information.

Just rent at the Chantoir (spelling) apartments for 50/week...which includes 3-4 free weeks for new players. So for 50, you get 4-5 weeks. I posted about them earlier on this thread! Maybe second page. That way you have a place to mess around with building, furniture, etc.

Chatnoir are ok place, small apartments, but cheap. I had one for a few weeks till i realized i dont play enough to keep an apartment, i always hang out at other places anyway.

fnord D'Veeshan was created in direct response to Cliqué D'Veeshan's dominance on SL so all the weaklings of the server could zerg dance clubs and force money drops.

I found a pretty nice east coast type city one. I haven't seen anything big enough to include a ballpark though.

There's a racetrack if you buy a motorcycle or car. Seems to be a pretty popular place.

Won't spam the thread with pics... well moreso than already... but here's a link to some shirts I've made so far.

Les Vega's T's

Happy with some, others kinda blow. When I get some more, maybe some long sleeves, and shorts/pants, gonna see about setting up a vendor. (won't be selling the VV or fnord stuff, send Les Vega an IM if you want any of em... been trying to get them to ya when I see ya)

Same core of VVers that have been playing SL are still playing it. If you haven't tried it out yet, it's still worth a look.
