Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
I wasn't praising PSN as much as I was knocking Xbox Live. The Deals of the Weak continue to suck! They are mostly DLC... Seriously wtf. MS really doesn't want my money.
Anyway.. A good deal if you need another PS3 controller:
http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Combo-Pa ... 2QQ6T64T6D
Dualshock 3 + Ratchet and Clank : A Crack in Time = $40. Which is cheaper than a controller by itself. I already have 2 extra controllers.. And I've completed the game. But it's almost tempting me to buy!
(Note.. Its a blue controller.. But it's stylish!)

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
Best Buy has a pretty good deal. Pre-order 5 games from a list and get a 100$ gift card.
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations
Batman Arkham City
Battlefield 3
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3
FIFA Soccer 2012
Forza 4
Gears of War 3
Just Dance 3
Madden 2012
NCAA 2012
Rage
Resistance 3
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception
So, 5x60=300 but then you get a 100$ gift card. I have a bunch of credit with them already, so I might do this. It should take the edge off my gaming budget when everything is said and done.

I guess that's not too bad since it makes it $40 a game (assuming $60 a game.) Other than it being a gift card. I really don't want to spend any more at Best Buy than I have to.Fairweather Pure wrote:Best Buy has a pretty good deal. Pre-order 5 games from a list and get a 100$ gift card.

Probably my choices.. Although I already have U3 preordered:

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
Yeah, the gift card seals the deal for me. I don't really shop at BB anymore either. I use Amazon for pretty much everything. Basically, I pay 225$ out of pocket and get a 100$ gift card that I can apply to more games later. I'll get 9 of those games eventually, but I was planning on waiting for big price drops on several of them, so I'll just have to wait and see the deals from other stores.

PS3 Controller and Ratchet & Clank combo no longer seems to be on sale. Procrastinating once again saves me $40!

Gamestop is having a nice sale on PS Move stuff.
Wand $25
Navigation Controller $15
Charging Station $15
Sharpshooter $20
PlayStation Move Heroes $10
The Fight: Lights Out $10
http://www.gamestop.com/collection/play ... _row5_col2
(You have to put it in your cart for the deal, stupid)
Great deal! I think it's totally worth getting into for 100ish$ If you buy the Move, grab Tumble off PSN. It's the best game out there for the device IMO.

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
Battlefield 3 $48 preorder from Newegg. NewEgg doesn't have release date delivery as far as I know so if that's important to you stick with Amazon.
Promo codes: EMCKAJG96 (PC) / EMCKAJG97 (360) / EMCKAJG98 (PS3)
I'm sure PC is the way to go as far as graphics and such but I went ahead and ordered the PS3 version even though I didn't really need another shooter. I'll have to keep an eye out for reviews before it comes out and hopefully the SP campaign is a decent length. If not I'll probably cancel.
Also Uncharted 3 for $48 - EMCKAJG94
$48 isn't a crazy deal but $12 isn't bad! That's only $8 more than the Best Buy deal.. Less once you count in tax and such and not having to spend your $100 at BB. Of course they don't have all those games for $48 but there's been a handful so far. I've ordered 3 different ones and I don't even like pre-orders. Especially since the Game of the Year editions will all be out in 6-9 months for less and include all the DLC. What has happened to my willpower!

I grabbed 9 games at the Target sale!
EDIT:
Rage
GoW: Origins
InFamous 2
Deus Ex
Battlefield 3
Batman Arkham City
Lego Star Wars: Clone Wars
Lego Harry Potter
Diseny Sing It
I actually grabbed the first 6 and my wife got the last 3 for her and the girls. This means I only have Uncharted 3 and MW3 to buy for the rest of the year and I have 150$ in Best Buy reward zone credit to buy those with. Not bad!

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
I grabbed a mis marked White Knight Chron. 2 for 24.99! It was on sale for 39.99 but Best Buy has to honor mis marked prices. The last time this happened I got Motorstorm Apocolypse for 39.99 2 weeks after it was released from the same store. Uncharted 3 is arriving via Amazon today too. Lots of games to play, that's for sure!
Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
GoW Origins is only a $40 game so you lost $20 in savings throwing that in there! I'll wait until that hits $20 to pick it up. Too many others things to do.Fairweather Pure wrote:I grabbed 9 games at the Target sale!

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
I had to eat the 20$ difference because I couldn't find 2 39.99 games or a third 59.99 game. Target's selection isn't very good at my location. On the plus side, I officially have enough credit from Best Buy to get all the games I want the rest of the month for free. It helps that my iPhone upgrades were done with my Best Buy reward zone card!
MW3
MGS HD collection
Saints Row 3
Halo
AC
Skyrim (if I have any left over credit)
Hmmm, I think my Uncharted 3 from Amazon gave a 20$ credit. If so, I'll put that towards MW3 frim Amazon and get Skyrim for sure. I'll have to check that out later.

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
Will be available online as well so you don't have to get trampled. That's not a bad price.Ahead of Black Friday madness in the US, here's two deals in particular to keep an eye out for.
One is Walmart's (UPDATE: and other retailers as well) $200 PS3 bundle, which includes a 160GB console and copies of both LittleBigPlanet 2 and Ratchet & Clank All 4 One. As the box art says, that's a saving of $165.

Anyway, now through Friday they have most Kinect titles at $25 each. So you can pick up Dance Central, DC2 or Kinectimals NOW WITH BEARS for $25!.

Might be some good deals... If you come across any let us know! The annual holiday sale on the Steam store is officially underway. It is massive and… surprisingly involved. Just about every single publisher is offering reduced prices and a ton of bundle packs, as well as a bunch of "Pack Deals" that bundle together every game from each major publisher.

Re: Game Deals (No Canadians Allowed!)
It got good reviews but it was really released at a bad time. I went ahead and ordered it although by the time I get around to playing it it will probably be $15 )or less). I hear it's fairly difficult in the later stages so I more than likely wont be going for 100% on this game. But Rayman is pretty awesome. If only it had online co-op (as opposed to just local) I'm sure it would have sold a bit better.

Free for PS+ this week:
(and yeah Sony still sucks!)
Oh and Gamestop has Rayman Origins for $20 with In Store Pickup. If you like platformers it seems pretty decent. I've only played it for a few hours but have moved on to other things at the moment. I'll get back to it eventually though.
Nothing spectacular. But free is free. I really think I've gotten my moneys worth with + so far. Yeah you are only 'renting' them for as long as you're a PS+ subscriber but really how many times are you going to replay Hamsterball? My Live Gold renewal is coming up in April but honestly I haven't turned on the xbox in months so probably will let that expire (and hope they don't auto-renew me. I better change my credit card info or something!). Microsoft hardly ever gives away free stuff and even their weekly deals are usually the definition of disappointment.PS3 Full Games: Far Cry 2 (V-Day Special One Week Offer)
PSN Games: Battle Fantasia
Fatal Inertia
Hamsterball
Inferno Pool
Mahjong Tales
Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket Powered Battle Cars

Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus - Free to PS+ members. I guess that's the free 'big game' of the month. Lame I already own as part of the HD collection. That's twice now they've done that! It was a Tomb Raider one a few months ago. A good deal for people who haven't played it though. I liked the series. Easy trophies (for the most part) if nothing else.
Other than that no real deals lately that I've seen. At least not on anything I'd want to buy.

Yeah, the market has been a little dry lately. Last week Amazon had a daily gaming deal and it was so pathetic I didn't bother linking it here. Yet another reason to hate portables is that their games are taking slots from consoles in the daily deals!
Honestly, the xmas deals were so good and plentiful that I don't mind the lack of sales right now.
