Official iTunes 11 Blows Thread
Holy fucking shit did Apple fire anyone with a clue about how to make software simple and attractive? The new iTunes is, dare I say it, more of a cluster fuck than Windows 8! Put the two on the same machine and you may well create a rift in the time space continuum. A black hole of suckage the likes of which we haven't seen since, since.. ever!
I mean seriously, what the fuck were they thinking?
Discuss!
Edit: Apple was at least wise enough to leave the sidebar in so you could return to the old way. I haven't found a way to shrink the size of the song, album or app icon/panels though. Someone blind as a bat at Apple must have gotten control.

iTunes period is largely responsible for my never having bought an iDevice, what a PoS.
(I'm perfectly willing to spend money for quality HW; iTunes is intolerable)

Agreed, back when I had the mac laptop I still couldn't stand iTunes, or the abortion they made of Quicktime.Aabidano wrote:iTunes period is largely responsible for my never having bought an iDevice, what a PoS.

Yeah I refuse to install QuickTime on my computer. No iTunes for me either. I don't really see the point of iTunes if you don't own any Apple devices.

With the stand alone podcast app that downloads new episodes wirelessly, I barely touch iTunes. Apps also updated wirelessly.

Re: Official iTunes 11 Blows Thread
I just installed it a few hours ago. I've had 2 crashes so far! Other than that, I like the layout much more.
I really don't have to use itunes that much though. Maybe once or twice a month?

Sadly, I still have one Apple thing left, and only because the harness in my car is for iPod only (need to find an adapter for non-proprietary bullshit. No way I am upgrading iTunes though. Bad enough as it is....maybe jesus will get me a non-apple mp3 player and harness for sexmas.

Re: Official iTunes 11 Blows Thread
After an hour+ of messing around with itunes, I got it to look sorta how it used to look.... but the postage stamp sized icon for artists cannot be removed or re-sized. It's nice that album art can now be re-sized but I you can't re-size album content columns.
It's still a massive, sluggish, mess of a program that I only use because I have to.
It's too bad the itunes store has to be hobbled by a mess of an interface that looks like it was designed by a fucking retard.

At least for Apps there's a nice store app you can access from the iPhone or iPad so you don't have to deal with that part of it.miir wrote: It's still a massive, sluggish, mess of a program that I only use because I have to.
