Steam Summer Sale 2012

Post by Animalor »

Anyone pick up anything good?

I bought Saint's Row: The 3rd last night. Plan on playing it tonight if all goes well.

World in Conflict + expansion (RTS)
X3 Franchise (Space sim)
Trine 2 (arcade)
Men At War franchise (RTS)
Mount & Blade (complete)

That's it so far. I'm looking for a deal on Sins of a Solar Empire (complete) as well as a Civ5 (complete). I already have Civ4 and all it's expansions so just looking for just Civ5 alone is taking awhile. I'll likely snipe a few random dirt cheap deals before the sale ends, but those are the games I am actively waiting to go on sale. The iphone app has been great for monitoring this sale. I can buy and install games remotely!

Any VVer can feel free to add me.

I've gotten the Left 4 Dead games and L.A. Noire so far. They're finally downloading.

I added STALKER, Sim City 4, and Sins of a Solar Empire. I want a deal on Arma 2 for the zombie mod but I'm not paying more than 10$ for it because I may never even play it :P

Which Stalker?
Shadow of Chernobyl was a fucking fantastic game but it's not aged all that well.
I didn't really care for Clear Sky.
Picked up Pripyat yesterday and it seems more like Chernobyl than Clear Sky... which is a good thing.

Just be forewarned, these are very lengthy games. I put over 70 hours in to Shadow of Chernobyl. You could probably rush through them in 30-40 hours but you'd really be missing out on what makes the games great.
