Saul Williams
Anyone a fan? I saw this Nike commercial and really liked the song. I did some quick googling, and found out the song was called List of Demands (Reparations) by Saul Williams. Anyone have more of his music than just this song? Do you like it? Is it similar? I really enjoy that song so I might grab the whole album if it's not just a single song where he goes off his normal style/format.
Oh, my God; I care so little, I almost passed out.

He's a pretty great poet and musician. You should check out the movie "Slam" starring Saul as poet who lives in a crime-ridden housing project in Washington, D.C. It's a damn good little indi flick. Great writing and cinematography, solid acting as well. Co-Stars Sonja Sohn who you'll recognize as Detective Greggs from The Wire.

Cool, thanks man! I'll check that out.
All the references I've seen to him online agree with you that he's a good poet.
I'm kinda surprised his music (what little I've heard of it) is considered rap.

I saw him perform a few years back and enjoyed it. I've never listened to his studio work, so I don't have much to say other than that he's a good performer with obvious talent. He was working with Trent Reznor those days (I think he still is) so that may have affected his sound.
