Played it just a few minutes ago. The level they give you isnt one of the "open ended battlefields" they rave about. Other than that, it feels just like the first call of duty but with better graphics.

One noticeable difference is the lack of health bars. Now when sustain heavy damage, your vital signs start going down. Your eyes go bloodshot, you have trouble breathing, your sight starts messing up, etc. Now when that happens you take cover and your regen, pretty quickly too.

What a great game.

The Pointe du Hoc (Normandy) mission offers some of the most immersive, intense and terrifying moments in any game I have ever played.

It is a great game, esp on veteran. At some points I wanted to cuss and through down the controller. Which to makes a very rewarding experience when you beat the game.

Currently on veteran defending Hill 400, trying to take out the mortar teams. It was a hell of a challenge even *taking* the damn hill.

The game plays entirely different on Veteran. Play it, you won't regret it.

Just finished up part of Stalingrad where you need to blow up Panzers w/ sticky bombs after repairing comminications line. Very intense game so far! I am impressed. There is also are a decent number of weapons around, left by my blown up comrades.

I keep accidentally throwing grenades though..I chalk this up to the local vodka.

edit: There may be nothing in existence as funny as chucking potatoes at the Russian CO in the tutorial...

I enjoyed this game entirely too much.

I started on the default difficulty; big mistake, it was horribly easy. Moved up one, played through. Went to the hardest one, forget name(You will not survive. or something,) beat it twice.

Then I loaded it up on the easiest setting, lol..I just rambo them, kind of fun in its own way.

Awesome graphics but it got boring pretty quick for me. I like games where I know if I kill it, it isn't going to just respawn over and over again till I am out of ammo. I liked doing the sniping too but the game just got boring and repetitive after the third or fourth mission.

Try actually working towards your objective instead of sitting on your ass.

It's a kludgy (but effective) way for the AI to make the fights more realistic.

If you're sitting in one spot, behind cover, you're supressed... the reinforcements will keep coming (respawning).
If you're advancing on your objective, they will fall back (stop respawning).

Just completed Veteran last night. Freaking Hill 400 and the first houses of Crossing the Rhine were a bloodbath, (my blood numerous times.)

Hooray 1000 Achievement points Xbox Live!
