Veeshan / Luclin + 7days

Post by Dal-KoE »

Well it has been a bit over 7 days since Veshan was dragged kicking and screaming to the Luclin Server. What are peoples first impressions? Who are the asshats...? Pros and Cons ...?

So far things are ok and I have not run into any particular asshats, although I hear there is the Luclin equivalent of Veeshan's Eudas living in MPG. The Luclin economy is a sellers market as I have made close to half a million plat in the 3.5 days I had my mule in the bazaar. Those poor Luclin bastards will pay almost anything (80k for a Fungie?) for twinkie gear.

Post away ...

If I there was anything I wanted to buy, I'd de-quip some of my twinks and get rich. Definately saw what you meant by sellers market.

I've mostly just been grouping with people from my friends list or guild tags I recognize, so no real experiences with the new crowd.

I'm not sure most went kicking and screaming.. The main thing was we didn't want to lose our name. As far as the actual merger itself I didn't much care. seems pretty much like I thought it would be.

80k! Guess I better sell..

How much are the necro amulets going for? Winnow's opulent retirement lifestyle may need more funding to keep the party rolling!

300-400k, though closer to 300k these days. Rarely see one higher than that.

Tink mask still going for close to a million.

I like it. I still want the Veeshan name, but apart from that its cool enough, met a lot of nice people.
And yeah, i made over 200K so far on the stuff i had on me that noone on Veeshan wanted to touch with a 10 foot pole.

Only persons i can see be pissed over this are eventual Luclin tradeskillers (if there are any who tradeskill for profit at all on Luclin, didnt see much evidence of it). Theyre gonna feel like they got raped with a 2 by 4 after the Veeshan tradeskillers are done emptying their stock.

most of the renowned tradeskillers quit to go to EQ2 to actually tradeskill over there. but theres still prolly a few in the 700club left that ts for money.

there were plenty of enchanters who played "balls to the wall" so to speak.

they were certainly the exception, but i think that attitude that Ransure had makes for a great enchanter myself.

Any enchanter who played with me had to go balls to walls or the entire group will die. Man, those were fun days.

The economy is very interesting. 15-30k for a meldstone?

I unloaded a lot of my old crappy twink gear that I couldn't sell on veeshan for 75 plat and made about 100k in one night.

I dunno Ransure, it was the magicians and necros that didn't know how to control their pets that pissed me off the most.

Besides, we made a cleric cry, I think that's an accomplisment. :D

yep. i remember working a group down to disco, a couple of months into Kunark - (so the zone was still a place you might have to coffin your xp group out of on a wipe).

anyway, i opened the door and he was down there soloing the room. needless to say, i was really impressed :p.

Thats why I just stopped grouping with mages/necros :) well, for the most part....

And 5 rangers + a cleric in a group with me pulling is pretty much gauranteed to make just about any cleric cry ;)

Voro, this was Lguk days.... I think a week or so after Kunark when it was nice and empty... I think Suev/whatever his other bards name was, Abac, Creed, Luite and a handfull of others were the only good bards I knew back then...

That's because the five Rangers are dead on the first pull and the Bard kicks in Selos and zones

Nah, the bard just kites them all and holds the camp waiting for the rangers to come back.
