Aftermarket Audio Help

Post by Syenye »

I bought a 2008 Altima 2.5 S. I was too cheap to pay the extra $5k for the upgraded sound system and all the crap they add in, but now I miss XM radio and mp3 cds.

Where do I find an install kit that doesn't look like ass? And how difficult is it to hook up the steering wheel controls to an aftermarket stereo?

Thanks!

as far as shopping for aftermarkets that fit. use crutchfield.com. Just don't buy from them. Find a model that has what you want that fits your car and then go get it somewhere else for much cheaper.

Steering wheel controls, I honestly have no idea, but I imagine it's a pita.

For steering wheel controls, one of these probably works for you: http://www.pac-audio.com/products/produ ... 0Interface , but you would need to decide on the head unit first. There are probably sites explaining how to do it for your exact car (i.e. which wire to cut in the steering wheel column)
