blu-ray playback in Windows 8.1

Post by Boogahz »

Any tips on what software to use? I was directed towards VLC, but it hasn't worked for me yet. I had originally hoped to use my paid copy of Corel WinDVD pro 2010, but it doesn't work with Win8. I would have gone with the software that came with my drive, but the box/software got lost in a move.

Oddly enough the HD-DVD playback works flawlessly!

I've always liked PowerDVD. Not exactly cheap, but works well and the remote app for your phone is nice if you're using it to playback to the TV...

I haven't had much luck with playback. Power DVD will recognize the blu Ray, but cannot play it. Thinking of trying windvd11.
