burrito bols are for male gays. I alternate Qdoba and Chipotle twice a week. Nothing beats Qdoba's queso and nothing beats Chipotle's roja salsa (the hot one).

Not so! Besides, skipping the supersized flour tortilla necessary to encase these things saves nearly 300 calories (true for Qdoba, Chipotle and Moe's). The tortilla on the burritos at this place (as well as the other bad stuff like cheese, sour cream, queso sauce, etc.) take what can be a healthy meal and turn it into a nutritional train wreck.

That's what makes it delicious! Not to mention the bols are nice if the people making the burrito lump the ingredients instead of spreading them evenly (at least at Chipotle, I have not eaten at the Qdoba or Moes in a long time due to locality).

True, but I at least try to keep my meals healthy most of the time. I splurge with a little queso sauce sometimes, though. I eat at Moe's at least once or twice a week. There's a Chipotle basically across the street from the one I go to, but I like Moe's better. The closest Qdoba is only about 5 minutes away, it's just in the opposite direction of where I'm usually at when out and about. I usually alternate between a steak or pork streaker burrito (sans tortilla). I used to get the tortilla, but once I saw the nutritional info for it, that stopped rather quickly. If you can limit yourself to beans, rice, pico, a little guacamole, some cilantro and jalapenos, a little salsa from their salsa bar and skip the tortilla chips, it's a really tasty meal that's only about a 450 calories, depending on how generous the prep guy is with the ingredients. I like it for that reason.

The tortilla not only adds an ungodly amount of calories, it also adds no nutritional value whatsoever, and, as far as I'm concerned, no taste.

Oh boy a big hunk of overprocessed white flour!

Tortillas are fucking own! However, nothing beats a homemade flour tortilla. I need to get a comal for proper cooking.

Oh, and for those that want to make your own, I hear vegetable shortening is better than lard.

Actually Qdoba is gluten-free friendly as well. The Queso is gluten free.
I just prefer the taste of Chipotle.

I guess I am a male gay for not being able to eat the flour tortilla due to the glutenz. :)

If you think about it 300 calories for the tortilla on a 1200 calorie burrito, losing the tortilla is a 1/4 calorie drop.

It is sad to see a homemade delight thread degenerate into a discussion over fast food burritos, gay-bols and caloric intake via flour-frisbee! :D

A burrito isn't a burrito with no tortilla! It's not about the nutritional value. Hence why a lot of cheese and sour cream are desirable additions!

Yeah, but it's likened to being gay in prison due to lack of options.

I still don't know how to make fresh corn tortillas, and I may never learn since my mom and that partner split up. hehe
