They have to make this game for old platforms like the 360PS3 as well as converting the game to run on less powerful hardware like the WiiU and Xbone.

Batman: Arkham Knight Will Be PS4 Exclusive in Japan, at Least For Now

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Japan announced today with a press release that Batman: Arkham Knight will be exclusive for PS4 in Japan.

The game will follow Destiny‘s footsteps, and will be released a month after its North American launch, on July 2nd. It’ll cost 8,208 Yen taxes included (just north of $80). The press release does not make any mention of collector’s editions.

In addition to the release announcement, we also learn that pre-orders will be available in the archipelago of the rising sun on September 17th. The local version of the game will be fully localized, including Japanese voice acting.

Interestingly, the title was announced as part of the local Xbox One line-up during the console’s presentation press conference a couple months ago, and it’s still listed in Microsoft’s local website, but apparently Warner Bros. changed plans about it.

Reviews are starting to come out and they are pretty good so far (thanks Gamespot for the 70 score wtf?). Almost making me reconsider not getting it day one. But that's fine I'll wait a year for the GOTY edition with all that $40 season pass DLC thrown in for freeeeee.

It does sound like they are forcing the Batmobile on you though. One of the things I was afraid of. I doubt that brings it down to 7/10 though.

Doesn't sound like PC was the way to go with this game. Even after a "re-release" it seems it is still broken for people.

Consoles ftw! I still plan on getting this someday when it's a $20 GOTY edition for the game and all the DLC. Word is most of the Season Pass DLC wasn't that great either. No surprise there.

It's not even close. AC is pumped out yearly now. There's been 3 main Batman games in 6 years. I only consider the Rocksteady ones but there was also Origins so TECHNICALLY 4 games but still not the same as AC. AC has had 9 main entries in 8 years.

If you're going on about the same game over and over why not include Halo and Forza in there.
