Adam and the Ants

Post by Abelard »

Anyone hear of this group before? I heard a song of theirs on a soundtrack and I've been downloading all of their albums since.

They're like like 70s .. I don't know, country punk almost. I'm generally not too into punk, but this stuff is cool.

Is it possible to inscribe youtube into posts?

Yes, I've heard Adam and the Ants. They were part of the 80's new wave. I like them a lot.

Any self respecting person that lived through the 80's should know Adam and the Ants!

Classic Adam and the Ants video: (Goody Two Shoes)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhvqVqLAdLI

"Don't drink, don't smoke. What do you do?"

I thought the sexy secretary in that video was HAWT back in the 80's!

Edit: fixed link. Other one screwed up halfway through.

LOL I feel so old now.
When I was younger, I used to think that the world was doing it to me and that the world owes me some thing…When you're a teeny bopper, that's what you think. I'm 40 now, I don't think that anymore, because I found out it doesn't f--king work. One has to go through that. For the people who even bother to go through that, most assholes just accept what it is anyway and get on with it." - John Lennon

If you actually were a fan of them in the '80s you most likely were gay as well. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Listening to gay musicians on MTV != being gay. Frankie Goes to Hollywood had some good tunes as well!

Remove gay musicians from the pool and you're left with country music.

80's music kicked and still kicks ass! So many bands ahead of their time. I was a big fan of the Pet Shop Boys and Information Society. No, I am not gay.

The very few people I knew who liked them when they were current were a group of repressed metro-sexual closeted losers who were completely worthless at work. Perhaps I've got a bias :)

Hard to believe those guys can still piss me off 20+ years later.

Nothing to do with gay musicians or gay people in general.

that video for stand and deliver is awesome. i miss 80s music videos. they were just so silly, and now everything is all over done with the occasional sweet video.
