As a follow up, the album is officially leaked in stream format here:
http://www.mtv.com/music/the_leak/the_w ... cky_thump/#

it will stream until the 19th (release date).

Since I'm a huge Stripes fan, i'll add some extraneous info regarding this album's release.

If you purchase the album through iTunes you get a bonus track. If you preorder from iTunes you get a second bonus (live) track. You can order it on vinyl from the White Stripes' website. You can also order it in a limited edition usb drive. There are 3,333 each of Jack or Meg usb (512m) drives containing the full album in Apple Lossless Format. These can also be ordered from the White Stripes' website.

Enjoy. The new album is really good (imo)

Yay, I had been looking for this album for weeks and when I got back into town last night I noticed it was all over the newsgroups.

Great album. Reminiscent of their older stuff, Get Behind Me Satan was a little different. I like the bluesy tracks that Jack White does, and this one doesn't disappoint. He's awesome on the guitar... I've only listened through a couple times so far, but I really like it. Go buy it tomorrow!

Catch Hell Blues is incredible... Conquest and Effect & Cause are fun and clever songs...

I have listened to this album at least 10 times already... 7 is the only track I want to skip each time.

the fact that they're also releasing it in USB drive format is particularly awesome.

i wouldn't buy them because they're so creepy. it's a neat idea though. i'd like to see more bands get behind this in a more economically feasible way.

We don't need more flash drives... but lossless encoded versions would be great no matter how they provide them (data cd, download, whatever).

This CD is so great, it's the only thing I've listened to since I got it.

I've only really liked one song of theirs. Not sure of the name now but it was a fairly popular single at the time. Their last album (to me) wasn't even worth the time it took to download it. Maybe I'll give the lastest one a try even though I had already written them off.

If you're referring to Get Behind Me, Satan as the last one that wasn't worth the download, I think that Icky Thump is much, much better than GBMS was. I'd probably rank GBMS as about my least-favorite White Stripes album.

I'm not feeling it. Then again this type of music isn't my cup of tea. The rave reviews made me want to try it out though.I am enjoying Paul McCartneys new album, Memory Almost Full, though. I guess I'm getting old. haha
