Laptop Resolution
I'm in the market for a laptop, and am hoping that the VV community could share some opinions on the importance of resolution. My needs for the machine are very minimal, and I'm attempting to stay in the sub-$1000 range of bargain laptops. My needs: Email/browsing/MS Office Light gaming (nothing ove...

From f13.net The axe finally fell. It was only a matter of time, I suppose. And while many of you may try to spin this to make SOE look bad, apparently this wasn't really their doing. You see, SOE doesn't own Sigil. It doesn't own Sigil now and they won't own them tomorrow. But they do own Vanguard....

Ten Ton Hammer and Silky Venom are both really good resources. Once you get up and running, Vanguard MMODB is your quest/item/bestiary database, and if you plan on doing any tradeskilling (which I'm guessing you will), Vanguard Crafters will be a very helpful board. I've grouped with a few druids, ...

Picked up an Antec Truepower Trio 550 last week at C-usa for $70 after rebate. Haven't opened the box, but from everything I've read it seems to have some pretty decent cable length.
I suppose I should have just ponied up for a 650W for an eventual dx10 vid card, but I'm on a budget....

Nice. How long have you had that DS3? Is it a Rev 2? Should say on the box. Even my MB userguide has Rev 2 on the cover. Yessir, it's Rev 2, just delivered this week. Why is everyone getting the Artic Cooling Freezer Pro 7? With a P180 case (which everyone seems to have now with great airflow), the...

I'm a sucker for console baseball games, and have been playing the bejesus out of this on the 360 since the day it was released. My two cents on the graphical aspects of the game: - The stadiums are visually stunning. The detail that was put into the parks, skylines, crowds (best crowd graphics in a...

I went with a full arms spec through lvl 55, as I was soloing 95% of the time. I loved the dmg output and soloed very effectively, mostly with polearm and 2h weaps. Once I found myself more consistently the main tank in instances (Mara, ST, BRD, etc), I switched to a half arms, half protection spec,...

They haven't released much information yet, but I think the battleground feature they're planning on implementing is going to be the best PvP element in WoW. So far, it sounds similar to the battlegrounds in DAoC, with PvP-specific zones containing towns and castles that can change hands, siege weap...

MVP Baseball is a pretty solid game, IMO. I've played a few seasons, and have found the game to be pretty well balanced. I really like how they handle the farm leagues and player movement. The only area of the game that I was disappointed with was the off-season options in dynasty mode; pretty weak.

IMO, there's much less micromanagement involved in Sims 2. Moods seem a little bit easier to change, and I haven't had any week long boughts of depression or hunger that would afflict my sims in the first game. It's been entertaining so far, but I can't see it holding my attention for any extended p...

Yes he had good passes. However, I think when he sees the video of the game he will regret some of the decissions he made. Some of his passes were too high-risk and I strongly believe if Doss was in the game he would have been picked off more than the one time he was. What's the big deal about Mike...

If anyone can turn things around, it's Larry Brown. This team is still the most talented group of players in Athens. Only 1 guard in the NBA at the all star break had a FG% greater than 50%. That used to be the standard. Who's standard is this?? For a guard, 44% to 47% is considered quality, anything higher is exceptional. Jordan, arguably the best pure shooter in the game, had a career avg of .497. They're all g...

Philly is going to suck ass this season. They lost too much on defense, and have no running game. How do you figure they lost too much on defense? Carter is not that great, but he is way better than a washed up Vinny Testaverde. Not that I'm a huge fan, but you could do a lot worse then Testeverde as your starting QB. Does anyone have any experience with the Pentium M mobile processor? I'm comparing 2 similarly priced systems, one with the Pentium M 1.5GHz, and one with a P4 2.8GHz; most other features are relatively similar. The only other major differences are that the Pentium M model is noticably lighter (1.25...
